Rainie Conner is working as a police officer for the Bakersville Police Dept. when a school shooting comes in. Rainie rushes to the scene, what she finds when she gets there is sure to shock the whole town.

FBI agent Quincy is researching school shootings and arrives to offer his expertise but things aren't as simple as they first seem.

This is the second book in the Rainie and Qunicy series and this is the first time we get to meet Rainie. She is a wonderful character. She is feisty and independent, she stands on her own two feet, she doesn't need a man to save her. She works in a man's world and is constantly having to prove she is good enough, something she is perfectly capable of doing

In this book, Rainie has to be the lead in her very first homicide. The suspect is her boss, the sheriff's son. But not only that this case is bringing back a lot of bad memories from Rainie's past. All her fears and nightmares are brought to the surface as her secrets are threatened to be exposed. But with lives at stake, Rainie won't stop until the killer is caught and the truth is revealed even if that means her secrets are exposed too.

I really enjoyed this book. I found Rainie to be a great character, really likeable and realistic and all round a fantastic protagonist.

The plot was really interesting, kept you gripped and wanting to read on, needing to know what happens next. It was well written, easy to follow, with a comfortable flow. The pace was just right it leads you through the story, keeping you hooked. Overall a really good book.

In a place long forgotten by time, a place where summers can last decades and winters a lifetime. Winter is coming and a game of thrones is about to begin. Sinister and supernatural forces are fighting their way back with the winter. Across the lands, the families of different areas go to war. Who will end up on the iron throne in the end?

Well everyone has heard of The Game of Thrones tv show and the world is obsessed and hooked on it. The tv show was adapted from the series of books by George R R Martin and if you think you enjoyed the tv show then you're going to love the books. Just from looking at the size of the books you will realise that not everything in the books could possibly fit into the tv show. So be prepared to be amazed. The book goes into so much more depth and is just fantastic.

Amazingly written with an amazing plot and characters. This book has a bit of everything in it. History, Fantasy, Supernatural you name it, it's in there. A great book and I cannot wait to read the rest in the series.

If a book ever deserved a five-star rating this is the book.
