It's been six years since Phillipa, Evelyn and their older brother were all swept away from a war-torn London and taken to a magical woodland kingdom. Phillipa is relieved to be home but Evelyn is heartbroken and has spent the last six years mourning the woodlands kingdom.

When Evelyn goes missing, Phillipa must face up to what happened to them six years ago and the fact that Evelyn would go to extreme lengths to return to the woodlands.

This book was part of my October Book Box Club subscription (See October Reveal Post) so I was very interested in reading it, it has also been a while since I'd read a fantasy book based on another world.

Unfortunately, I found this book to be rather boring, I thought it was very slow going and it didn't seem to speed up or get going at all. It never seemed to get interesting either, this made me lose interest very quickly.

I found I couldn't get on with the characters either. I found Evelyn to be annoying and whiny which also stopped me enjoying the book.

For all these reasons I was unable to finish the book. I have chosen to give it a single star.
