The Amber Room Once considered the eighth wonder of the world. Which was lost during the second world war, never to be seen again after being moved from St Petersberg to Kaliningrad.

Alan Cleverden is set the impossible task of finding the amber room, along with help from private investigator Roger Tamworth, the pair set out with very little information and with the Russian Mafia on their trail.

Can they do the impossible and find the lost amber room and all the riches it holds.

I was interested to see how this book turned out, I liked the sound of the storyline and was excited to start reading it. Unfortunately, I couldn't get on with it. I found it didn't hold my attention and found myself getting distracted easily.

I'm unsure why I didn't like it, I can't seem to put my finger on what was wrong. I just wasn't enjoying the plot or characters at all. I must admit I gave up.

I'm beginning to think historical fiction is really not for me as I am yet t find a book that grabs me. Which is mad because I love history and I love fiction but apparently not together.

I have chosen to give this book a single star as I couldn't finish it.

Thank You to the author for providing me with an advanced copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
