The girl on the train by Paula Hawkins

                                                         The Girl On The Train

The girl on the train as you can imagine from the title, is about a women on a train and what she witnesses. Rachel takes the train into London everyday, the train takes her past a row of houses which she looks at and imagines what the lives of the people living there is like. One couple in particular she gives them names and imagines a whole background story for them. When on the train one day she sees something out of the ordinary. It Is later revealed that the girl who rachel has been watching from the train has gone missing, does what Rachel saw have anything to do with her disappearance? The story unfolds as Rachel gets caught up in the investigation of the missing women. The story also follows Rachel's problems with her ex husband and his new wife and Rachel's drinking problem.

I found this book to be really good. I couldn't put it down. The character of Rachel at the beginning you find her to be really annoying and you don't feel any sympathy towards her at all, you feel she has brought on all her troubles herself, as the book goes on however, your feelings towards her change and you begin to feel sympathy for her. This  takes you on a whirlwind of emotions and keeps your gripped from the very start. Would deffo recommend as a great psychological thriller.
