The Sinner - Tess Gerritsen

Synopsis:

Within the walls of a cloistered convent, a scene of unspeakable carnage is discovered. On the snow lie two nuns, one dead, one critically injured - victims of a seemingly motiveless, brutally savage attack.

Medical examiner Maura Isles' autopsy of the murder victim yields a shocking surprise, but the case takes a disturbing twist. The body of another woman has been found. And someone has gone to a lot trouble to remove her face, hands and feet.

As long buried secrets are revealed so Dr Isles and homicide detective Jane Rizzoli, find themselves part of an investigation that leads to an awful, dawning realization of the killer's identity

Review:

This is the Third book in the Rizzoli and Isle series. I must say the first Two books in the series I could not put down, I found the story lines in these to books to be gripping and kept me guessing throughout. The cases they worked on were not predictable and kept me fully interested and involved within the book. This Third book however, i cannot say the same thing about. I did not finish this book which is not like me all. I just could not get into one. I found the story line didn't grab my interest and didn't get me involved within the story. I found unlike the first Two in the series i didn't want to keep turning the page.

I'm afraid this is not a book i would recommend as it just didn't do anything for me. Better luck next time.
